CATMON, CEBU —The Catmon Municipal Police Station has officially emerged as the top-performing unit among all Class “C” Municipal Police Stations under the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) for the month of February 2026. This prestigious Number 1 ranking comes as a result of the station’s aggressive and highly successful implementation of the PNP’s “Manhunt Charlie,” a nationwide campaign specifically targeted at the apprehension of wanted persons. By consistently hitting operational targets and streamlining its service of warrants, the Catmon police force has set a new provincial benchmark for efficiency and law enforcement excellence in small-scale municipalities.
This milestone was achieved under the decisive leadership of PCPT Verano K. Sacpa, who serves as the station’s Officer-in-Charge. Through his strategic operational direction and sound supervisory practices, PCPT Sacpa successfully mobilized his team to enhance their field performance and meet rigorous provincial standards. The station’s leadership emphasized that the achievement is not merely a reflection of tactical success, but a direct result of the unwavering commitment and professionalism displayed by every member of the force who worked tirelessly to ensure that fugitives were brought to justice.
Central to this success was the “whole-of-nation” approach adopted by the station, which relied heavily on the active participation of the local community. The police force attributed their operational edge to the timely information shared by vigilant residents and the robust, seamless partnership maintained with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Catmon. This synergy between the law enforcement, the civilian population, and local officials created an environment where criminal elements found it increasingly difficult to evade the law, ultimately resulting in the station’s rise to the top of the CPPO rankings.
While the recognition serves as a moment of pride for the municipality, the Catmon Municipal Police Station views the ranking as a continuing challenge rather than a final destination. The award reinforces the station’s resolve to sustain and further elevate its standards of police service in the months to come. By prioritizing public safety and the pursuit of peace and order, the station aims to maintain its momentum, proving that through disciplined leadership and community cooperation, consistent operational success is well within reach for the people of Catmon.
