This week we will feature the life story of a Non-Uniformed Personnel who conquered politics at a young age and made ground breaking accomplishments while still in high school.
She juggled public service as a Sangguninang Kabataan Chairman in Barangay Poblacion, Ronda, Cebu while studying as a 4th year high school student. NUP Daisy Dawn Enriquez Noel is a perfect example of the song “Nasa ‘Yo Na ang Lahat” popularized by Daniel Padilla.
NUP Noel possesses a beautiful face, fine voice and intelligence. Despite her characteristics you cannot see a hint of egotism in her, she remained humble which gained the admiration from everyone around her.
A complete package, that’s an apt description of this unpretentious public servant. At a young age she aimed for excellence in her studies. She graduated salutatorian in elementary and 6th Honorable Mention in high school
As a young girl, she showed promise in her singing skills. She performed in school activities and competed in singing competitions which developed her self-confidence of which her father and relatives assisted and trained her.
She didn’t struggle much while studying because she was supported by her mother, an optometrist and her father an entrepreneur.
In her final year in high school, she was elected as the SK Chairman in Barangay Poblacion, Ronda, Cebu. Though the responsibilities are challenging yet she breezed through it with her leadership skills and with the assistance of her parents and advisors.
In college she took up Bachelor of Arts in Communication in Cebu Normal University and graduated in March 29, 2012. Despite her hectic schedule she was able to accomplish college with high honors and finished Cum Laude.
As a public servant, it was a privilege for her to become a scholar in 2008- 2010. In 2011 until 2012 she also availed of a scholarship as a member of the CNU Chorale.
Upon the completion of her term she was able to successfully charter projects for the youth such as installation of fiber glass for the basketball court, was able to address waste management by providing garbage drums, donation of equipment to the day care center in their barangay, inter town and inter-barangay sports activities, installation of waiting shed, distribution of sports equipment per sitio, sponsorship of two sets of uniforms and many others.
During her incumbency as a young leader, it was a roller coaster ride but it did not hinder her governance to succeed as she implemented several projects and programs for the welfare of the youth. As a young public servant she was nominated as one of the Ten Outstanding Barangay Officials of the Year 2009–Cebu Chapter.
While working hard on achieving her goals she sees to it that she maintains a sight on the importance of balance in her life. This includes self-care, health and well-being, maintaining good relationship with others, `keeping herself motivated and organized, establish financial stability by saving money for future needs and unwanted expenses. Moreover, maintaining closer relationship with God.
Today, NUP Daisy Dawn Enriquez Noel continues to inspire others by working as a Crime Registrar in Dumanjug Police Station. She works meticulously and without complain. The coworkers of NUP Noel have good things to say about her.
NUP Noel still works on her singing skills by joining the Cebu PPO Band and performs on events in the PNP and outside engagements.
She is guided by this motto “Happiness lies within you. Be happy with what you have while working for what you want. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment”.
In the near future, she sees herself married with two kids. Currently, NUP Noel, aspires to be a model employee working alongside the police and NUP.
Our dear NUP Noel is inspired by her partner who is a policeman. This gentleman complements her which according to NUP Noel makes her heart skip a beat
Meanwhile, we hope to see NUP Noel compete in national singing competitions and on TV. Someday, you will realize your dreams and become a professional singer, carry on NUP Daisy Dawn Enriquez Noel, stay grounded and make us proud.
