PCOL DYAN V AGUSTIN, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7 Force Commander, paid his courtesy visit to Governor Gwendolyn Garcia to whom she offered Sugbo Kahanas slots at the Capitol on Tuesday, October 17.
Sugbo Kahanas is a brainchild program of Governor Gwen that offers free technical and vocational skills trainings for Cebuanos who would want to acquire a new skill for business or employment purposes.
This heavy equipment operation training under Sugbo Kahanas Program is very useful to the ISOG Warriors. When super-typhoon Odette struck Central Visayas, members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7 were on the frontlines in the clearing operations in various places affected. There we’ve seen that skilled individual in operating heavy equipment are most needed on road clearing and rescue operation.
Our unit would need this training as a pre-emtive measures and also to gain a strategic advantage in case if a natural disaster hits.
