This week we will feature the life story of PEMS Emmanuel Caballero and how he landed as a peace maker and his struggles before he became one.
Who would ever think that this jolly and funny boy would become a police officer! Police Executive Master Sergeant Emmanuel Caballero grew up in Badian, Cebu full of pranks and good old clean fun with friends. The youngest among siblings, this man lived a favored life from siblings and parents.
His ambition to become a professional someday has driven him to study and strive hard in life. Born to farmer parents, life was not a bed of roses for PEMS Caballero. He has to struggle to attain that dream. His destiny to become a policeman wasn’t a straight path as he would undergo a maze to reach that vision and goal.
PEMS Caballero has to give way to his older brother who will step on to college. Unbending on his ambition, he took the scholarship examination at South Western University to be able to enroll in college. He barreled on his dreams and became a working scholar in the College of Commerce of South Western University. He worked in the typing room for years to get his diploma.
PEMS Caballero finished a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Business Administration. Right after college he tried his luck in taking the examination to enter the Philippine National Police Academy. True enough, the favors were on his side when the results came. He passed the examination but the challenge to travel to Luzon posed an obstacle when he was met with financial struggles.
In order for him to achieve his lifelong dream to become a policeman, he applied in the regular recruitment program of the PNP, at 21 years old he was accepted into the service. Since then he has served the people in the community with honesty, integrity and with dignity.
25 years has passed still he has not wavered in his service and remained loyal and devoted to the PNP. Today he is happily married to his wife Christine, their union is blessed with a handsome and cute son Emman Chris and a charming daughter, Leunamme.
PEMS Caballero is known to be good natured and has established a good rapport among his peers and subordinates. He has merited respect from everyone in the police station as well as in the community. Baby Emman or Toto as he is fondly called by work mates goes about his day working as the Deputy Chief of Police without so much fanfare but he is a person with good leadership skills and a team player.
According to PEMS Emmanuel Caballero, he will earnestly protect the people of Badian, Cebu, an oath he took 25 years ago.
