Bogo City, Cebu – In a dawn operation conducted today, the 701st Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (lead unit), in collaboration with local law enforcement units, successfully apprehended one alias “Juve”, a 45-year-old Filipino male from Brgy. Tominjao, Daanbantayan, Cebu, who had been evading arrest after being charged with violating Section 5(a) of Republic Act 9262, more commonly known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
Under the leadership of Force Commander PCol Ronan R Claravall, the team, led by Plt Verano K Sacpa, meticulously planned and executed a precise operation codenamed “PAKIKIISA” as part of their ongoing Minor Combat/Clearing Operation OPORD N13-2023. The operation was carried out at approximately 7:00 in the morning of July 4, 2023, in the barangay of Anonang Sur, Bogo City, Cebu.
The arrest warrant was served at his current location, resulting in his swift capture. He now faces the charge in criminal case number R-CEB-23-02172-CR, with bail set at PHP 3,000.00. The diligent efforts of the law enforcement units involved ensured the successful execution of this operation.
This significant development in the fight against domestic violence serves as a strong message to all perpetrators that justice will prevail. The collaborative efforts of various law enforcement agencies have once again demonstrated their commitment to maintaining peace and upholding the law.
