San Jose Poblacion, known as Catadman, is one of the barangays in the municipality of Catmon, province of Cebu. Based on the 2020 Census, it has a population of 3,761, which accounts for 11.15% of the total population of Catmon.
In line with its commitment to maintain peace and order, personnel of the Catmon Municipal Police Station attended the monthly Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) meeting in San Jose Poblacion, led by PCPT VERANO K SACPA, Officer-in-Charge of Catmon MPS, together with the assigned police of the barangay, PCpl Zerubabbel O. Velasco, and the MADAC Focal Person, Mrs. Ma. Christina Branzuela. The activity served as a platform to discuss the current status of the barangay and raise awareness on anti-criminality efforts.
During the activity, the barangay was also awarded a Certification of Drug-Cleared Barangay, recognizing its collective efforts and compliance with the parameters set by the Dangerous Drugs Board and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
PNP personnel likewise reminded the community to sustain their vigilance in monitoring their surroundings. Residents were encouraged to immediately report any crimes or illegal activities in their area so that the authorities can respond promptly. This cooperation not only ensures faster resolution of cases but also strengthens the relationship between law enforcement and the community. Catmon PNP reaffirmed its commitment to continuous monitoring and coordination with local officials to uphold peace and order in the barangay.
