Joining Forces for Safer Communities: Northern Cebu Police Leads Comprehensive Symposium in Santa Fe, Cebu

-

Santa Fe, Cebu – A powerful display of unity and commitment unfolded as the 701st Mobile Company (MC) led by PSSg Jessie A. Ermac, joined forces with the First Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), led by Plt Valmyr Anton C. Tabian, to conduct a highly impactful community outreach program in Brgy. Kinatarcan, Santa Fe, Cebu.

Taking place on July 5, 2023, at Kinatarcan National High School, the event garnered great anticipation from an enthusiastic crowd. Aligned with the guidelines set forth by Executive Order 70 and the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP), this collaborative effort aimed to address critical issues such as drug abuse, crime prevention, and terrorism awareness.

The program commenced with a heartfelt feeding program, ensuring that participants’ hunger was alleviated while fostering a strong sense of community. Concurrently, the organizers distributed hygiene kits, emphasizing the significance of personal cleanliness and overall well-being.

Following the nourishment of bodies, minds were nourished through an engaging and informative lecture. Anti-drug awareness campaigns, effective crime prevention strategies, and insights into counter-terrorism efforts took center stage during this enlightening session. Given the ever-evolving landscape of criminal activities, which includes the alarming rise in drug-related incidents and the looming specter of terrorism, the goal was to empower community members with knowledge and awareness.

The audience, comprised of esteemed Barangay Officials, dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), vigilant Barangay Tanods, and enthusiastic Grade 10 and Grade 12 students from Kinatarcan National High School, eagerly absorbed the valuable information presented. Actively participating in discussions, attendees openly shared their concerns and personal experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of the issues and nurturing a sense of ownership within the community.

The collaborative efforts of the 701st MC and the Personnel of First PMFC underscored the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community they serve. By directly engaging with the residents, these dedicated individuals demonstrated their unwavering determination to build trust and foster a collective sense of responsibility in the face of challenges that threaten the harmony and security of Brgy. Kinatarcan.

This community outreach program serves as a shining testament to the power of collaboration and highlights the positive impact that can be achieved when communities and law enforcement agencies work hand in hand. As the program concluded, participants departed with newfound knowledge and an invigorated resolve to actively contribute to the creation of a safer, more resilient community.
