In the wake of the devastation brought by Typhoon TINO, which severely affected several areas in Northern Cebu, the Catmon Municipal Police Station (MPS), under the leadership of PCPT Verano K. Sacpa, Officer-in-Charge, joined forces with the Saliuga de Spartacus Eagles Club to bring relief and hope to affected families and fellow PNP personnel in Liloan, Compostela, and Danao City, Cebu.
The powerful typhoon left homes damaged, properties lost, and many families struggling to recover. In response, Catmon MPS initiated a relief operation aimed at helping victims get back on their feet and easing their immediate needs. The team distributed essential goods such as drinking water gallon, food packs, butane, pails, and clothing to PNP personnel and civilians alike who were heavily affected by the calamity.
Guided by the Provincial Director, CPPO’s principles of ABCD — Abide the Law, Build Trust, Commitment to Integrity, and Delivery of Quality Police Service, Catmon Police personnel and their partner organization demonstrated that genuine public service extends beyond maintaining peace and order.
Through this effort, Catmon MPS exemplified the true spirit of bayanihan and compassion, showing that the police force stands as a steadfast ally to communities in times of crisis. This initiative not only provided much-needed assistance but also served as a step toward recovery for families striving to rebuild their lives after the storm.
The success of this mission reflects the PNP’s commitment to “Serbisyong Nararamdaman”, ensuring that compassion, unity, and service reach those who need them most.
