Brgy Anapog, Catmon | In its continuing commitment to strengthen peace and order at the community level, personnel of Catmon Police successfully conducted a Capacity Enhancement Training for the Barangay Tanods of Brgy. Anapog, held at the Brgy. Anapog Covered Court, Catmon, Cebu.
Designed to equip Barangay Tanods with essential knowledge, practical skills, and updated strategies in maintaining peace, responding to incidents, and supporting law enforcement operations within their respective areas of responsibility. Topics focused on enhancing vigilance, proper coordination with the police, basic response protocols, and the crucial role of tanods as the first line of defense in the community.
This initiative underscores the importance of empowered barangay force multipliers in ensuring public safety. By strengthening the capability of Barangay Tanods, the Catmon MPS aims to promote proactive crime prevention, faster response to incidents, and a more organized community-based security framework.
The training also served as a platform to reinforce unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility between the police and the barangay. It emphasized that effective peace and order is best achieved through strong partnerships, continuous learning, and active community involvement.
