In the heart of the 701st Maneuver Company, a remarkable initiative has taken root – the ‘Adopt a Student Program.’ This endeavor, deeply embedded in the core values of the Philippine National Police, particularly ‘MAKATAO,’ showcases an unwavering commitment to extend love and care to our community, especially those in dire need, particularly the most impoverished among us.
In 2021, the former commander of the 701st MC envisioned creating a sustainable means of supporting students in need. From this vision emerged the ‘Piso Mo, Kinabukasan Ko’ Piggy Bank, a concept that has since been revitalized by the current commander into ‘Barya mo, Kinabukasan Ko.’ This simple yet powerful idea aimed to unite our resources, fostering a collective effort to fulfill the aspirations of young minds thirsting for an education.
The primary objective is crystal clear: to bolster the Adopt a Student Program by ensuring monetary stability. This, in turn, guarantees that our deserving student beneficiaries have access to all the essential school materials and supplies necessary for their academic success.
What makes this initiative truly remarkable is its inclusivity. Our dedicated personnel wholeheartedly contribute to this endeavor, underscoring the boundless strength of unity. Through their unwavering dedication and generosity, we have been able to lay the foundation for a brighter future for these young souls.
As we forge ahead this year, our determination is unwavering, knowing that our impact can be even more profound. Our ultimate goal is to extend assistance to a growing number of beneficiaries, equipping them with the tools they require to embark on their educational journeys with unwavering confidence.
However, we do not wish to tread this path alone. We extend an invitation to the civilian sector to join hands with us in this noble pursuit. We actively seek support from the Advisory Council, private enterprises, and individuals who share our passion for nurturing young minds and uplifting our community.
Already, the contributions gathered from our dedicated personnel have yielded tangible results – basic school materials, notebooks, pens, papers, coloring materials, slippers, and school bags have found their way into the hands of our deserving beneficiaries.
As we approach the commencement of the new school year, our commitment remains steadfast, with a focus on a single beneficiary to ensure they receive the care and support they rightly deserve. However, our vision stretches far beyond this horizon. We yearn for the day when this project can accommodate not just one, but countless deserving students, enriching the lives of numerous young hearts.
